At Sandy Mount House, we are creating a design-led beach house with bar, restaurant and accommodation. We have a passion for delivering the simple pleasures done well – design, warmth, great food and hospitality with a side of fun.
The Sandy Mount House team have commissioned renowned designer, Michelle Derbyshire, who is well known for her work in Manchester city centre on venues including; Australasia, Artisan and award winning Grand Pacific.
The new SMH interior will be stripped back beach shack chic with weathered wooden tables, wicker chairs, time-worn leather, raw linen, giant internal palm trees and oversized rope pendants. By evening, there will be glowing fireplaces, candlelight and a friendly, warm and homely atmosphere.
The restaurant’s simple design will create a flow through, connecting the outdoors with indoors. It will feature an open kitchen, comfortable banquette seating inside and a terrace which will be home to an outdoor fireplace, alfresco all weather dining and comfortable lounges. There will be a great outdoor garden – a place where kids can safely play, to keep them happy too.
The accommodation for house guests will be made up of seven individually designed guest rooms – five of them oversized (with some interconnecting ones, perfect for family visits), the other two with spectacular sea views. Stylish, thoughtful, spacious and above all, seriously comfortable.
